I have been in the clothing industry from the age of 16 years . I worked originally as a trainee in a large factory in Bangkok where almost every type of garment from coats to neckties were manufactured. Having produced every type of garment imaginable I eventually worked in several other major organisations to gain additional skills and to develop my abilities further. Having met and married my English husband Paul in 2006 we had our first child Natalie and moved to the UK. We now have another little girl called Narisara who shares her name with myself. Every Thai child is given a European/American sounding name when at school. Therefore, I am also known as Kiki. Having lived in the UK for over nine years I have been employed in a factory environment producing high quality onesies and at a wedding outlet where I undertook fittings and carried out alterations for all forms of bridal wear. I am now working in my own business (The Dress Doctor).
01 Alterations
Replacing zips, moving and changing buttons, reinforcing old seams, changing elastic and taking clothes up, down, out and in is where The Dress Doctor's understanding and knowledge relative to all types of garment really makes a difference.
02 Hems & Linings
Replacement of an old lining, repairs to the existing lining or adding a lining where none was before, the Dress Doctor can help. Jackets, skirts and dresses can be given a new lease of life.
03 Bridal
I have helped many brides obtain the perfect fit or have carried out major alterations and repairs prior to the big day. From shortening of hems over restyles of sleeves to adding linings or replacing zips, we offer a comprehensive service for all types of bridal alterations and repairs, fittings are available by appointment. For Bridal fittings do not leave it too late give me 6 to 8 weeeks in order to ensure all is well on your big day.

04 Bespoke Dresses
I have a range of dresses I have made which are for sale or to view as a guide should you wish me to make a dress of your choice relative to your chosen material and style. Should this be of interest to you please contact me to obtain a free estimate and to discuss your requirements. You may have an important event on the horizon so get your own one off special dress made for you alone. Examples of dresses I have made recently and are available to view in my studio here in Bedlington.
